Hey Pam C
I don't know a lot yet about this group of Wyoming wolves, only that two had collars and that those two were collared in Wyoming but I don't know by whom. I don't know whether or not the Wyoming folks do the same sort of scientific work up that YNP does, such as taking a blood samples for DNA (or various studies). Nor do I know whether this sort of information is readily shared with the YNP research team.
It took quite a while to ID them at all, and some of the info was incorrect at first.
I think in time more will be known. They are considered "outside the Park" wolves, but who knows? They might have been born Druids or Mollies or Sloughs for all we know. Wolves disperse and then disappear or re-appear all the time.
And this is the time of year when they disperse, looking for new territories.
