Well, Dave,
As I said, I don't want to start a fight but it is my opinion that more wolves from the Cottonwood Pack were shot when the four were killed and reported. I am basing this on my observation of other wolf packs which have lost
their alphas. I believe that if any Cottonwood pack wolves had "escaped" when their pack mates were shot, the logical place for them to retreat to would be their home territory, which in this case is the area a few miles east and west of Hellroaring Overlook. It is my belief that they would have been noticed by the many sets of human
eyes looking for them. It is my belief that they have not been seen because they are dead or injured. I don't claim to know this for certain. But it is what I believe.
