Last Thursday was an outstanding day of wolf watching. To start the day, we saw Blacktail's Big Brown (alpha male), Medium Brown/male, 692F and 693F. From then until dark, we saw Druid's 690F, White Line (black female) and Thin Female (black female). The Druids are truly suffering from mange. We saw Wedge's Group. Wedge is a black male courting any and all available females. With him was First Male (a black wolf - first male trying to join the Druid gals) and a pretty brownish/grey wolf, the 06 Female.

We saw the Lava Group which consists of 147M, a black male, and 471F, a gray female. We saw the Silver Pack which consists of all silver/greys--the alpha male, alpha female and 2 pups. We say 2 Mollies, 641M, a grey male and and uncollared grey male.

There several chases between groups. The Druid gals were trying to lure Wedge and the First Male away from the 06 Female. Pretty interesting to watch. The Mollies were chasing the Silvers. The Silvers were chasing the Mollies.

It was a great day of wolf watching.
